In partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank and St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Santa Fe hosts a Food Bank for the community every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm. No need to make an appointment, just show up! Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at the same time as our food bank, Santa Fe hosts a rummage sale with inexpensive items such as clothing, jewelry, furniture, books, etc. The proceeds go towards the keeping our doors open. Description
Cursillo (a Spanish word meaning "little course") gives church members the tools and "rules of life" to enthusiastically share the joys of knowing Christ with others in their everyday environments. The children of Santa Fe gather every Sunday for Bible stories, crafts, and prayer during the first half of Sunday mass, rejoining just before communion. Children also put on a Christmas play each year and other events. A group of mostly women at Santa Fe gather regularly to write stories and poetry based on their life experiences. Most have no formal experience of writing and yet the result is beautiful. Santa Fe is a member of a number of community organizing groups, including COPS Metro and the Interfaith Community Action Network (I/CAN), which advocate for the health and thriving of our neighborhood.
